We tend to visit annually, but this time with the intention of working on Goosenips while looking for the best Naruto look-a-like. So the gang and I (4 of us now) decided to hit up the NYAF again this year. We all pretty much had a good time, and there were PLENTY of anime/gaming/movie ahhhGOOD TIMES. We'll be posting a bit more on our coverage on the festival shortly, and look forward to attending many more!  |

Break is over Posted on Sep.05.08 8:40AM EST Goosenips had to go quiet for a while. We were in the middle of some oddball hosting issues, and will soon re-awaken with more opportunities than we previously were offered. We soon plan to cover our first event... Goosenips had to go quiet for a while. We were in the middle of some oddball hosting issues, and will soon re-awaken with more opportunities than we previously were offered. We soon plan to cover our first event. That event being Animecon in NYC. We have a few correspondence members and are getting our initial itenirary in order. I'm personally enjoying the direction that we're headed and feel that things are definitely going in a very optimal course. I'd love to keep making promises and spill all my hopes and dreams for the site, but don't want to set anticipation for projects before they are ready to be announced. Needless to say, we intend to be as competitive and fun as the next blog. Here's looking forward to the rest of 2008 and moving forward into 2009. What the GoOsEnIpS is goin on? |

The Cartoon Network Posted on Aug.09.08 2:54PM EST I find it hilarious how the Cartoon Network tries to get away with passing off some of their new cartoons as suitable for children. I've been looking at a few of these new cartoons and some of them are not half bad. I find it hilarious how the Cartoon Network tries to get away with passing off some of their new cartoons as suitable for children. I've been looking at a few of these new cartoons and some of them are not half bad. They are actually pretty funny. Then again I can remember a few years back there was a show called "Cow and Chicken", and I many people know what cartoon I'm talking about. It came on around the same year when the Powder Puff Girls and Dexter's Labatory came on to the Cartoon Network. I remember my Fathers exact words. WHAT KIND OF SHYT IS THIS, THIS CARTOON IS NOT FOR CHILDREN" I totally agreed with him on that as well. I hated that cartoon and there was no reason that cartoon should have been made. I have been looking at Chowder; The Misadventures of Flap Jack and Total Drama Island...Oh man the topics they speak about on some of these cartoons I feel are not suitable for children. Yet, it's all on the parents to monitor what their children look at. As for me if I heard some of these things on their cartoons I would not allow them to watch them anymore. |
