Every one here played Disdeia, am I right? Remember those penguin lookingthings? Well they have their own game called Prinny. Cheap deaths, stupidhard bosses and awesome power ups... They really bring back the old school policies of gaming with this one.![]() Story - Well you are aPrinny. A Prinny is a damned soul which is forced to live out the rest of eternityin the body of a penguin looking thing with bat wings and peg legs. Theymust serve their overlords forever. Unfortunately, your master has lost her recipe for theultimate dessert, so its up to you and your army of Prinny cohorts to get allthe ingredients for her to make her dessert before she kills you. I kid you not, failure equals death. So, youmust travel through numerous parts of hell while defeating demons and ogres in order to geteverything back to your master within 10 hours. HURRY UP! ![]() Gameplay - This isa major disappointment for this game. The game itself is difficult. Everything isout to get you and can killyou, real bad too. Expecting good controls? Sorry my friend, you wontfind them here. You can't "steer" yourself while jumping, so, if youjumpedstraight up to avoid an enemy you can only fall straight back down. andgetkilled. Want cheap deaths? Then you've come to the right place! Badcontrols plague this game. S much so that more than half of the deathsare a direct result of poor controls. Let me break it down for younow: You know how in a Mario or Megaman game when you jump high toavoid a pit, and you hold left to dodge aprojectile? Well for some ass weird reason the makers of Prinny justsaid didn't want any of that kinda stuff int his game and render youhelpless to control your character when in the air. So if you jumpto the right and the ledge is moving... your going to die. That caneasily be found to be annoying, and frustrating, so much so that it cantake 20 tries to beat one stage. Although the bosses are the opposite!Just one to beat the boss. Balance Issues? ![]() Graphics-The game hasan Anime look to it. All of the Japanese gestures are kept and makesthe game nice to view. The game shifts from 2d to 3d on certainoccasions like during boss battles or special attacks and it switchesjust fine. Bottom line- Pros- the chance to be the underdog and kick ass. Yes, you use3-foot tall penguin things to tackle giant demons. The game certainly bring that old schoolplatforming nostalgia and its good to know that these inspired games stillhave a chance. Plus the cut scenes are enjoyable! Cons-HORRIBLE controls range fromovershooting jumps to sliding over edges and the inability to steerwhilein the air. Wow... what were they thinking. Difficulty in this game isvery unblanced ranging from retarted hard stages and easy bosses orhard stages and even harder bosses. Bottom line-
