George Lucas must be feeling the holiday cheer, as he decided to drop some early easter gifts in the form of DETAILS for the upcoming Indiana Jones sequel. Now while these aren’t the prime-choice details that I’m looking for (cast, date, TITLE, they do whet the appetite and provide mild excitement for the upcoming film. Apparently George instead had a nice little talk with USA Today about some bullet worthy quotes.
The first teaser trailer (and an actual title!)will hit the scene some time around Thanksgiving.
- Sean Connery has not yet signed on to reprise his role asIndy’s dad, but Mr. Lucas assures us he’s “trying.”
- It was director StevenSpielberg who wanted to hire CateBlanchett for a role in Part 4, a decision that Lucas didn’t agree withright away, but he ceded this one to the director. (Too bad Lucas didn’t dothat when Frank Darabont delivered his screenplay!)
- “(Indiana Jones is) not running in any of the movies,” Lucas says.”He’s either on a horse or driving a car or a motorcycle. And he’ll playhis age in this movie with what’s appropriate. The chases are more suspensefulthan speedy. Like the rolling ball in the first film
