Rini adventures at Comic Con 2011 Part UNE
This pass Comic Con there was a lot interesting sites in addition to costumes. Sadly I lost most of my footage from the Con due to misplacement of my camera at a friends event and someone stole it, but I somehow had a few shoots still left. Just not the great ones I wanted to share with the masses. Completely caught as walking by one of the vendor displays and noticed but little old Hasbro ... Read More!
Impressions: Watch The Throne
Three weeks ago Jay-Z and Kanye West released their first ever album together while working side by side as a dynamic duo. The album itself gives many of us mixed feelings, myself included. When I think of a Jay-z album what usually comes to mind are the sounds from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s along with new school hood feel to it. He puts music out that not only relates to the hood, but ... Justin Lin will NOT direct Highlander
August 12th, 2011
Anthony There was once a rumor that director Justin Lin may have been interested in getting involved in rebooting the Highlander franchise, and directing a new film to kick things off. There was some definite speculation, and fan fantasies about how he may be able to resuscitate that franchise and bring it profitability similar to his handiwork with the Fast and Furious franchise. Turns out that ... Read More!
Watch the Star Wars Blu Ray trailer
August 12th, 2011
Anthony Star Wars will forever suffer from re-releases and new additions to suck up any and all willing to trade hard earned cash for purchase, and re-purchase. This is the never-ending saga of Star Wars and it usually works every single time. In fact, all six movies are already scheduled for re-release in the near future in 3D no less which will undoubtedly be followed by further re-releases that ... Read More!
Trailer: A very Harold & Kumar Christmas
August 11th, 2011
Anthony I love the Harold and Kumar franchise. So much so, that I was pretty bummed when series star Kal Penn decided that he wanted to pursue a career in politics a few yrs back as it seemed in direct conflict to any association with this frat humor movie series. Good thing dude quit for a while. He made this movie and somehow got his job back soon after. I guess the Obama cabinet is cool with stoner ... Read More!
Bruce Willis MIGHT join G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation
August 10th, 2011
Anthony Bruce Willis is one of the last names I would ever assume to be associated with the G.I. Joe movie franchise, joining names like Channing Tatum and The Rock. Why? I just figured he had finished his go-round of “soldier of war” movies for a bit and might be interested in different pastures. Well, I just learned that I was wrong and the guy does in fact have negotiations open to take ... Read More!
Paul and Milla returning for Resident Evil 5
August 10th, 2011
Anthony Paul W.S. Anderson has overseen the entire Resident Evil movie franchise since its inception. I really like the movies thus far and am surprisingly excited about the idea of him continuing the franchise. When things first started all i could do was nitpick the changes he made for the movie from its source material, but these days I genuinely enjoy seeing Alice on screen chasing Wesker across ... Doctor Strange searching for a director
August 10th, 2011
Anthony There’s one movie that Marvel has been toying with for years that definitely has my attention and it’s the one featuring Dr. Stephen Strange. Ya see, the problem with the development of the movie is that Dr. Strange isn’t exactly a household name and may be a bit of a tough sell. Marvel tested the waters with the excellent Dr. Strange animated movie and continued the idea of ... Read More!
RUMOR: Sin City 2 filming soon
August 9th, 2011
Anthony RUMOR: Sin City 2 filming soon Sin City was a fine film back in it’s time, capturing the hearts of many theater viewers as they watched the grisly but engrossing movie play out on the screen. Again, that was a great movie for that time. It’s been 6 years since that film was released and fans have been eagerly awaiting another helping of that noir stuff. Today we learn that Rob ... Short Circuit Reboot coming
August 5th, 2011
Anthony Short Circuit was a lovely little 80s movie that I have really fond memories of viewing several times on reruns during my childhood. The antics of Johnny 5 just seemed so fantastic for it’s time that I couldnt help but be enamored by the idea of a “living” robot friend. Every kid wanted one! Well, the hope is to re-create that phenomena in today’s society for ... Read More!
Brian Kirk Might Direct Thor 2
August 5th, 2011
Anthony Who is Brian Kirk? He’s the guy who’s directed a few episodes of the popular HBO show “Game of Thrones”, and what Marvel views as a perfect candidate to take over directing duties from the departing Kenneth Branaugh to bring our favorite Asgardian back to the silver screen. Irish auteur Brian Kirk, best known for directing numerous episodes of the first season of ... Read More!
First Look at Chris Nolan’s Catwoman
August 5th, 2011
Anthony Something is going on in the world of Nolan. I am not accustomed to receiving this much insight into a movie he’s filming. Today we get our first look at Anne Hathaway as Catwoman for the upcoming movie “The Dark Knight Rises” in full costume, riding a motorcycle, and sporting her trademark goggles to boot. My problem is that they don’t at all seem like her traditional ... Read More!

After a brief hiatus to do some blogging on TheMovieBlog.com, I’ve returned and it seems that my return came at a really opportune time with a lot of news surrounding the upcoming Superman Reboot being released, with everything culminating in today’s release of our first look at Henry Caville as the iconic character. Impressions: Thor
August 2nd, 2011
Ghostdad I think a lot of people out there are just settling for films and saying ‘oh this movie is ok, or it’s good.’ I mean the same could be said about Fast Five and I really enjoyed that film. It’s so odd how to classify or make your own review, judgment of a movie and saying where it rests for me. I mean is it just bad or would you recommend catching it in the theatre? I ... Read More!
Quick Thoughts: Captain America The First Avenger
July 25th, 2011
Ghostdad Captain America was ok. The most interesting parts I found were when Chris Evans was digitized as the smaller Steve Rogers, or the original one I should say. He played that roll well. I think the casting overall was excellent but seemingly under utilized. The two hours go by real fast and the action sequences are more montage than anything else, which really lessens the impact of things. You ... Read More!
Afterthoughts: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2
July 18th, 2011
Ghostdad I was wrong about the 8th movie, personally anyway. I honestly thought Transformers 3 was more enjoyable and that is not saying much at all. There were a couple things I really liked scene wise, but as a whole the movie was rushed. Having come off watching all 8 movies in the theatres for the past 2 months it’s just odd how they didn’t want to make this film longer than it was. ... Read More!
