So it’s been announced that there will be a biographical movie about Alfred Hitchcock, the famed film director, and Anthony Hopkins has been cast in the starring role.
“I better put on some weight” said Hopkins.
“It’s about the making of ‘Psycho‘but it’s not about the making of ‘Psycho’ such, but how Hitchcock feltsuch a failure all his life. He felt such a loser all his life. And hehad a very troubled relationship with everyone. A very complex man, avery private, quiet man. There are all rumors about his life and hisrelationship with his wife. I know nothing about the guy but thisscript is a good script.”
This will put another feather in the Illustrious cap of Mr. Hopkins career, but he does admit that there may need to be some ideas cleared by the Hithcock estate before production may begin.
“I think we were supposed to be doing it in May but then they pulledthe script back again because they had to check with the Hitchcockestate. And also they wanted to rewrite it again, I don’t know why. Ihope they don’t rewrite it out of shape because it was pretty good whenI read it.”
