It’s official. Jet Li has signed on to star as a villain in what is tentatively being called “The Mummy 3”.
The film was announced earlier this year, and is expected to focus on the Son of the prior movies’ stars, Rick and Evie. With Li stepping in as a villain, what does this mean for series main-stay Im-ho-Tepp? Apparently, he’s not written is the script. Neither is Oded Fehr, and heck, we can’t even confirm that Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz are going to be returning at this point. What we DO know is that production is scheduled this summer in Montreal, with Directorial duties moving from Stephen Sommers (who directed the first two films) to Rob Cohen.
And from what we know, the Rock won’t be in it either.
