Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of the “Saw” franchise. I saw the 1st 2 movies and thought they were interesting, but by the time the 3rd movie was released I got the feeling that they had themselves a cash cow they were intent on milking. It’s not that the movies are bad per se, I just happen to be a person who doesn’t particularly look forward to a gore movie. Now, with that said, I am a fan of good graphic design work and lately movie posters have been evolving to use new techniques to catch a person’s attention. This afternoon I received the latest movie poster for the Saw 3D movie in my inbox and had to share.
I love the motion, I love the iconography, and this thing is just eye catching. I think it’s a fantastic poster that brought my attention to a franchise I’ve would’ve to otherwise continue to ignore. What do you guys think of the new trend of motion posters?
