The first trailer for the sequel to the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham Asylum has made its way online and shows off Batman, Catwoman, and Mr. Harvey “Two-Face” Dent himself in what appears to be some of the dirties, wettest, grittiest locations I’ve ever seen in a videogame in my life that undoubtedly pushes the Unreal Engine in directions I’d never imagined for a caped crusader.
I love how these games almost completely ignore the temptation to incorporate any inspiration from the Batman films and instead rely almost completely on the comics for character designs and personalities. I always welcome the return of any of the voice actors from the DC Animated Universe and look forward to Kevin Conroy reprising his role as the Dark Knight as well as Harley Quinn making a welcomely redesigned appearance.
