30,000 folding

So it seem’s a lot of you people have gotten into Stanford University’s Folding @ Home project. According to Gamespot, the Folding @ home crew has amassed some 30,000 PS3’s to go along with the people running on standard PC’s.

“Folding@Home is a distributed computing project — people from through out the world downloadand run software to band together to make one of the largestsupercomputers in the world. Every computer makes the project closer toour goals.

Folding@Home uses novelcomputational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulateproblems thousands to millions of times more challenging thanpreviously achieved.”
