Legendary…Games

Gamespot is reporting that Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull is looking is in the final stages of creating a new video games company. brandishing themselves as a developer/publisher, they are Brash Entertainment LLC. Thomas Tull and Legendary pictures have found success earlier this month when the Zack Snider flick 300, and already owns a record label known as Brash Music.

According to the article, Brash Entertainment will specialize in games”that will be licensed with major movie, book, and music titles.” Thecompany reportedly has six projects in the works, including a 300 game for PCs.

Sounds cool enough. Games being instigated by film production crews sometimes have some decent results mainly because when the film crew is pro-actively involved in game development. Like they have a genuine interest in videogames and understand/respect the target audience. You know, like not just shoveling out a license to any schmo with a game developer’s kit. I truly hope Tom is a bit more ambitious with execution, and can succeed where other’s have failed.
