This based on a short story by Philip K. Dick originally called the “Adjustment Team” which follows the same plot as the movie. David Norris one day meets a beautiful woman on his way to work on a bus. He asked her out on a date and has the time of his life with her until one day he goes into his office to find a mysterious group of men looking around for stuff. All they tell him is that he can no longer be romantically involved with this woman and certain events “need to happen” in his life, so they must make an adjustment .
