Superman Returns 2008

Robert Meyer Burnett, who worked as the videographer in “Superman Returns”, recently sent all superfans into a towel-donning frenzy this past week when he recently told a Superman fansite the following:

“I’m ALREADY working on the sequel. Bryan, Brandon and the whole merry bunch will be coming back…and filming will probably begin March, 2008, as was always planned from the beginning. The WWII film Bryan plans to shoot overthe summer will have NO EFFECT whatsoever on the Superman sequel schedule.”

This is undoubtedly good news for fans of the first pic who were worried that Bryan’s upcoming WWII film would ultimately delay the release of the film. The Film’s star Brandon Routhe has also been in the media as of late dropping some choice details for villain ideas for the new film. He recently dropped the following nuggets of gold to Empire:

“In the first one, the obstacle was Superman’s love for Lois and his son, and Luthor using that against him. I just know that in the next film there will be a lot of action and I’m gonna get to fight something, or someone. An enemy with real physical power might be worked in there, definitely.”

It’s still all very early to get excited, but some of us have a red towel in the closet to keep this film in the back of our heads until it’s finally released.
