Watched that King of the Fighters movie last night. Good lord, what a horrible movie. I can’t even go into specifics except the whole thing was just horrible. 5 minutes in I was thinking I should just watch MacGruber and at least get some laughs. The movie makes any movie look good, like the Chun Li Street Fighter movie, Battlefield Earth, The Avengers (with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman), Dragonball Evolution, staring at the ground, picking your nose, just about anything. It was also filmed here! In my city! I’m pretty sure they filmed it on one of the five days in the year we have snow. It made no sense! The attire was horrible, costumes, effects were stupid, casting was horrible.
The premise was bad, everything about it makes me question the King of the Fighters series completely, I need to do some research to figure out what that game is about. Holy crap though what they did to Terry Bogard’s character is unforgivable as well! It’s such a train wreck I almost dare you to watch it. So many instances I kept asking myself, is this really happening, why am I rotating my neck… because for some reason the director decided to shot almost every scene at a 30 degree angle, like… literally! Seriously after the introduction credits I checked to see how long the movie was and looked ahead at the scenes to see if there was some way I could fast forward things. Horrible… horrible… horrible…
