Goldeneye Wii: Multiplayer

Somehow at the recent NYCC we were able to capture some hands off video of the upcoming Goldeneye for Wii and its split screen multiplayer. It was a “hands-off” experience because those damn nerds can give away free hugs but not the Wiimote. Must be a testament to the fun or something. Either way, the game is coming along nicely, I just don’t know how comfortable I feel ... Read More!

Getting to know: Warren Spector

I had a lovely conversation with Warren Spector this past weekend. The guy is outright down to earth and didn’t accidentally evoke the inner geek in me to expose my secret Star Struck Syndrome. The whole thing was rather unexpected as it was the last day of the New York Comic Con and I was wandering around the vast halls of the Jacob Javits center admiring all the artwork and videos on ... NYCC 2010: Green Lantern TAS Preview

Something new to look forward is the upcoming Green Lantern Animated Series. We may have missed the announcement at the DC panel during NYCC, but Screen Rant has us covered with some really cool pics showcasing sketches, character notes, and more for the upcoming series as well as a shaky cam video preview. I have a bit of apprehension once I see that a TV show has chosen to go the CGI route ... Read More!

Avatar Extended Edition Trailer

So I have mixed feelings about that Avatar movie that was all the rage a year ago. I think it was technologically impressive, however, I felt that the story fell a little flat and seemed like refining used ideas into a complete package that made Avatar. I felt that there was a little Armageddon, a little Aliens, and a lot of Ferngully influence in the movie and put together into a generic story ... Read More!

Big Apple Comic Con 2010

We attended the show over the weekend and had a blast. There was a really nice size crowd who turned out and attended the show as well as unexpected stars and guests! Wondering what was my personal highlight? Finally meeting the Famed X-Men artist, Creator of Battle Chasers, and artist of the Ultimates 3, (Mr. Bumpy-knuckles himself), the one and only Joe Madureira! Dude was a legend in my ... Read More!

Poster Watch: Saw 3D

Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of the “Saw” franchise. I saw the 1st 2 movies and thought they were interesting, but by the time the 3rd movie was released I got the feeling that they had themselves a cash cow they were intent on milking. It’s not that the movies are bad per se, I just happen to be a person who doesn’t particularly look forward to a gore movie. Now, with ... Read More!

Impressions: Superman/Batman: Apocalypse

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is an animated movie, and sequel to “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies”. The film is an adaptation of the Storyline published in the Superman/Batman comics titled “The Girl from Krypton” which is a modern take on the story of Supergirl. The film stars longtime, and beloved, voice actors Kevin Conroy, and Tim Daly reprising their roles as Batman and ... Read More!

Watch-out for the Big Apple’s Comic Con…

Some of us already know the legacy of the Big Apple Comic Con. Some of us. The Big Apple Comic Con is the longest running (that I know of) annual comic book convention in the NYC area. It’s a daunting, but exciting convention to attend and this year’s show seems to be prepped to be bigger and more extravagant than conventions past. The guest list is outstanding and should be found ... Read More!

Hatchet II Trailers (NSFW)

First let me open by saying that I did not see the first film. Never even heard of the dang thing. I have to say that after watching the clips and trailers for this new film it actually made me want to look up and look back to see what the heck all the fuss is about. The film is an old school slasher rather than the the type of films they try to pass as horror today. There’s a lot of ... Read More!

Trailer Impressions: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Pt. 1

Below is the latest trailer for the latest upcoming Harry Potter movie. I must say that the trailer does certainly look impressive. Lots of implied action from within the trailer to excite and titillate fans while waiting for this November release (if it doesn’t get pushed back). I admit that the trailer does have me pretty interested to see how the series will crescendo to it’s ... Read More!

Impressions: Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption. (What the hell does that mean anyway?) The game places you in the role of John Marston, an ex-outlaw and current protagonist of the story. The game takes place pretty much in the early 1900’s and is in the genre of “Western” through and through. Adventure? Check. Drama? Check! Open World? Check. Prostitutes? Kinda. Comedy in a satirical way? All that! Yes, this ... Read More!

Well, this is embarassing…

If you have noticed lately, we have a new look! And a new host to go with the change! After months of frustration with our previous web host I decided it was time for a change. I also moved the site to using a wordpress blog rather than Coranto, as development on that platform is fairly non-existent. This means we finally have all the features that you have undoubtedly become accustomed to ... Read More!

Impressions: Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3. The fun thing about this movie is the characters and Pixar always tells an awesome story. The bad thing about it all is it’s just another adventure with these guys you already know, it’s another sequel. Is it still amazing? Yes. Does it still have the same playful magic? Absolutely. Is it still fun? Yep. Emotional in some ways? Yes sir. After watching it, it seems ... Read More!

Looselips: it only does everything…meaning?

So I finally broke down and bought a PS3. I have to admit, the potential of the system has me a little overwhelmed as this device may be exactly what I need to bridge the gap between the PC and my TV. Maybe.   I bought the PS3 Slim 250 GB. As Ghostdad can testify, I was very hesistant to purchase the hardware, especially so many years since it launched! I was hoping that I could miss one ... Read More!

2012 Review

2012 is the latest big budget, popcorn, catastrophic film from favorite director Roland Emmerich… and this one stars acting sensation John Cusack! Cloverfield: Impressions

I want to give some quick impressions on the movie Cloverfield I caught Cloverfield for the first time on DVD last week. I was genuinely, appreciably, surprised at what I found. Twilight: Impressions

I wanted to say a few good things about the movie that was released by the name of “Twilight”. I wanted to, but I can’t… because I believe this movie is absolutely and apologetically terrible. It was easily one of the worst films I may have ever seen in the past 10yrs. I don’t know why the heck so many people are infatuated with the on-screen romance of the main characters ... Read More!

Public Enemies Review

Public enemies is the latest film by director Michael Mann starring Johnny Depp as notorious bank robber John Dilinger and, Christian Bale as his pursuer Melvin Purvis. The setting is amazing in itself as the film takes place during an incredibly recreated and, masterfully detailed, old 1930’s America. The film is a drama that seems lighthearted at times yet spectacularly violent at ... Read More!
