Twilight: Impressions

I wanted to say a few good things about the movie that was released by the name of “Twilight”. I wanted to, but I can’t… because I believe this movie is absolutely and apologetically terrible. It was easily one of the worst films I may have ever seen in the past 10yrs. I don’t know why the heck so many people are infatuated with the on-screen romance of the main characters ... Read More!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Impressions

Flat out enjoying it! Same old smash and mash gameplay. I chose Wolverine based on healing factor, it really goes a loooong way. I mean when you don’t have to heal yourself… it’s pretty awesome. As per usual you have to unlock characters along the way and some characters are straight up DLC. I’m did some Juggernaut scam yesterday so hopefully I get the free DLC code for ... Read More!

NBA2K10 Draft Combine: Impressions

Didn’t do that much gaming this weekend, I got caught up watching House on TV and subsequently went out and picked up the TV show on DVDs. It’s easily my favorite show on TV and maybe ever. I did however finish the NBA Draft Combine. Incredibly disappointed overall with it after I “beat” it. You are limited to 6 drills and 6 games, but after which you can continue ... Read More!

Impressions: Gamer

I caught Gamer the other night. I dunno what to say about this movie other than it’s justifiably horrible. I get it though, I get what the director is trying to portray and even in some ways the movie is ‘Ok’. About half way through the movie I was waiting for it to ‘start’ and actually show there was a slightly compelling reason as to why this movie was even made, ... Read More!

Review: BlazBlue

In this day and age the fighting genre is actually over crowded. In contrast to what the landscape looked like a few years ago today’s day and age is that of one with so many generic 2D fighters on the market it is hard to stand out. While the crown is still held by Street Fighter there are many other competitors out there trying their best to take the crown. We all know about Mortal ... Read More!

Review: Punch Out Wii!!

Boxing is a very aggressive sport. Having to do tiresome training until your about to faint is what goes for an average day for a boxer. All while worrying about ‘if your going to win’ or ‘survive’. Public Enemies Review

Public enemies is the latest film by director Michael Mann starring Johnny Depp as notorious bank robber John Dilinger and, Christian Bale as his pursuer Melvin Purvis. The setting is amazing in itself as the film takes place during an incredibly recreated and, masterfully detailed, old 1930’s America. The film is a drama that seems lighthearted at times yet spectacularly violent at ... Read More!

State of Games: Xbox 360

Now I know there has been an ongoing debate about what we should be seeing from the Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, and the Microsoft Xbox 360. Not so much a debate but a discussion about the current state of affairs that have come to reality and the series of games that have come along with. And what we’ve been discussing behind the scenes is what new and exciting things do we expect from each ... Read More!

Before Watching the Watchmen

I’ve been a little apprehensive about watching this Watchmen movie. The main reason is because I don’t know who the heck the watchmen are I’ve never, I’ve never read their graphic novels, I’m not really a huge fan of the characters they present.Visually the characters seem to be knockoffs of known existing major franchise superheroes. They have their own Electro or ... Read More!

Review: Fable 2

Graphics- Damn this game looks good.Everything from the deepest darkest cave to the brightest road is detailed. Not only is the outside good looking, but the interior as well. The houses and castles really show off the economic standpoint portrayed in the game. The more the house cost, the better they look. Less expensive houses have paint peeling and old wallpaper. The more expensive homes have ... Read More!

ME @ NY Anime Festival

So the gang and I (4 of us now) decided to hit up the NYAF again this year. We tend to visit annually, but this time with the intention of working on Goosenips while looking for the best Naruto look-a-like. We all pretty much had a good time, and there were PLENTY of anime/gaming/movie nerds fans in attendence. Some good… others could’ve used more work but there was certainly lots ... Read More!

Break is over

Goosenips had to go quiet for a while. We were in the middle of some oddball hosting issues, and will soon re-awaken with more opportunities than we previously were offered. We soon plan to cover our first event. That event being Animecon in NYC. We have a few correspondence members and are getting our initial itenirary in order. I’m personally enjoying the direction that we’re ... Read More!
